What are the hourly pay rates for an experienced SAP functional consultant?

I have been working with SAP functional modules for past 5 years now for a company as a permanent employee.Now I am planning to start working as an independent SAP consultant but not sure about the hourly rates based on my experience.I have always been a salaried person and not an hourly rate based contractor..

    As a SAP functional consultant, the answer is, it depends. It is difficult to specify a general salary range for an experienced consultant as there are many dimensions that would significantly affect the pay scale. These include:

    The specific modules that one specializes in. For example, a SAP AM consultant might be in the lower payscale compared to SAP MM where the general demand for SAP MM is higher. This is pretty much driven by the demand and supply.
    Whether one is from a consulting or end-user environment
    Amount (frequency and duration) of travel that one is required to do
    Which countries is one working from ?
    Based on the above information, you might be looking at an annual package of between $76,712 and 102,283. This is just a generic guideline. As mentioned earlier, this can change significantly according to the supply and demand at different points in time of the job market.
